My interest as a psychologist has always been on understanding the complexities of human nature; both the conscious and unconscious.

I began working as a psychologist in 2017, initially with young people and families before expanding to also work with adults. From my early work I have taken an understanding of the complexities of family systems, foundational skills of emotional regulation, and have been able to see how these early experiences effect our future well-being.

It can be difficult for many people to understand how their past connects to their future, but I believe it is vitally important to develop a cohesive narrative between the past and the present.

Whilst I still draw from my early therapeutic approaches of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with adults I now prefer to utilise Psychodynamic approaches; with a focus on the therapeutic process itself and making sense of inter- and intra-psychic life.

My approach to therapy is to go beyond symptoms and understand the complex dynamics that create a unique person. Some of these may be known, and others may take time to fully uncover and explore. The aim of this is to fully understand one’s self, and to use that knowledge to live with freedom and autonomy.

With children and adolescents there is a larger focus on emotion regulation and skills development. I also have additional experience working with neurodiversity, such as Autism and ADHD.

I am currently completing a PhD in the dynamic organisation of personality, and how this is effected by the use of psychedelics.
